Ongoing Costs:

The following costs will be expended every time we hold the class.

  • Office overhead costs. The costs of contacting students, ordering materials, making sure the class space is cleared and ready, arranging for the instructor, and handling all the myriad details required to have a successful class. While this is usually handled by a staff person, the duties are considerable and these costs should be included.

    $ 200

    Consumable materials. A class in conduit bending means that we will be using up a lot of conduit. Conduit materials might include 500 lf of 1/2" emt, 400 lf of 3/4" emt, 120 lf of 1" emt and 120 lf of 1-1/4 emt. In addition to conduit, we might want to provide pencils and note pads for students. Substantiation of this cost item will require the estimator to prepare a detailed quantity take off and line item estimate. Obviously, this expense will vary with class size.

$1,200

  • Equipment rental. There will be no equipment rented for this class. All equipment used will be company owned.

$ 0

  • Teacher salaries. Every company handles this a bit differently so we are going to assume that the instructor for this class is a salaried company employee who donates his or her time.

    $ 0

  • Food and soft drinks for students. An all day class usually requires a continental breakfast, box lunches, coffee and soft drinks as a minimum.

$ 120

  • Class room rental. The class will be held in company warehouse space thus there will be no charges as long as the class is held on company owned property.

    $ 0

Total cost each time the class is held = $1,520
